The petroleum resin is taking petroleum decomposition process from by-product C5, the C9 as raw material. It's one kind of solid shape or the liquidity. It becomes the versatility kind of important synthetic resin, whose acid value is low, the miscibility is good, the melting point is low; with water resistant, chemical characteristics and bears the ethyl alcohol. The resin dissolves in the fat hydrocarbon and the chlorination hydrocarbon compound; does not dissolve in the lower alcohol and ketones. Mainly uses in the coating industry, the petroleum resin emulsion uses in strengthening latex paint, the light color petroleum resin uses in making the greasy varnish to improve the gloss and the adhesion. Also uses in the rubber industry, takes as plasticizer the low softening point resin, enhances the synthetic rubber hardness with the high softening point resin degree. It uses in hot melt adhesive, road marking paint, printing ink, paper hydrophobing agent and so on. |
